What is a Zero degree angle?

Main Post: What is a Zero degree angle?

Top Comment: Angles can be simply defined as is the space between two intersecting lines meeting at a certain point. They consist of two arms known as sides of the angle and a meeting point where the angle forms called a vertex. Angles are measured in degrees which measure from 0° to 360°.

Is there any downside to having a 0 degree bag as your only bag?

Main Post:

It seems like its a no brainer to just get a much colder rated bag, and if its too hot just unzip it, stick a leg out, or take an article of clothing off.

I see some people here say they have a summer bag and a winter bag and I just think it would be silly to have different sleeping bags for different seasons when it seems like the lowest rated temp bag could realistically do the job for all seasons. Thoughts on this?

Edit: Fahrenheit

Top Comment: Why get a spring or summer jacket when you can just wear a down parka year round? Same thing.

0.9 degree stepper motor

Main Post:

I want to build the largest voron 2.4 instead of buying a CR10. on my Cartesian printer replacing Y steppers with 0.9 degree motors improved print quality a lot. it removed all of the ringing. do i need 0.9 degree motors for best quality on large voron? I found a vendor that sells great voron kit but they sell 1.8 motors with the kit. Also bontech recommends 0.9 degree motor with their geared assembly, but voron doesn't call for that either.

Top Comment: Go with 0.9deg steppers if you got the cash. They are quieter and smoother. You’re gonna be capped on your max speed to around 300mm/s but that’s not really a sustainable travel speed anyway.

0 degree meaning

Main Post:

What does it mean to have a 0 degree on a chart?

Top Comment:

A combination of energies from the previous sign and the present sign. New beginnings. Not the full strength of the present sign. The seeds are being sowed. Allow the universe to assist you in your endeavors. 🙏

Considering purchasing a new 0 degree. Any one try the Hyke & Byke goose down sleeping bag?

Main Post:

Hyke & Byke Eolus 0F, goose down fill

  • Price: $205 (long)
  • Weight: 3.48 lbs
  • Compressed Volume: 10"L x 7" diameter, ~ 8L

I currently have a Kelty Coromell 0F, down fill

  • Weight: 4.6 lb w/ compression sack by personal scale
  • Compressed Volume: 11"L x 11 diameter, ~17L by personal measurement

I'm interested to know how this Hyke & Byke bag performs and if it's reported metrics are true. Saving a pound would be nice, and compressing down from 17L to 8L would be even nicer. All advice welcome.

Top Comment: I have a H&B 15 degree bag and I just love it! It is way too warm for anything short of winter weather and has a luxurious feel. Great bag.

Which sleeping bag do you use for 0 degree backcountry hiking/camping? Looking at NemoEquipment, SeatoSumit, Big Agnes, Marmot.

Main Post:

Hello all,

I have a backcountry Alaska trip coming up and wanted to see your opinion on the sleeping bag models to use. This would also be used for winter Adirondacks high peaks camping/hiking.

Nemo: Either Sonic Down 0F temp & Disco Down 15F

Big Agnes: Anvil Horn 0F

SeatoSummit: Spark Ultralight 5F

Marmot: I am not sure which sleeping bag from yet.

These are just the ones I was looking into.

Any suggestions/experience anyone of brands/models to look into?

Top Comment: Western mountaineering or feathered friends are amazing if you got the money for them.

Any insight into 0 degree ascendant/planets?

Main Post:

I've come across a few charts that have either a planet or the Asc/Dsc/Ic/MC and I have some trouble interpreting them. I have read many times that planets in the last few degrees of a sign/house can have an influence from the next sign/house but no where have I seen that it can work the other way (backwards essentially). Is there anything significant about 0 degree placements? Any insight appreciated!!

Top Comment: I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I really like this article for reference. https://www.astrologyuniversity.com/critical-degrees/

Compact 0-15 degree Fahrenheit sleeping bag.

Main Post:

I’m going on a backpacking trip to Colorado next year, and I want to have a compact sleeping bag that’s rated down to at least 15 degrees comfort. Any suggestions?

Top Comment:

Start with looking at down filled mummy bags. As far a compression goes nothing beats down

Is there a keyboard shortcut to making perfect 90-degree angles for conveyor belts?

Main Post:

I remember I saw something about when you connect a conveyor belt, there's a way to make the belt automatically make a perfect 90-degree angle. Wasn't this implemented in the 1.0 release?

Top Comment: Press 'R' when placing a belt. You can use 'R' to change the placement type of other things too, like foundations.
